LEGO City: Undercover Wiki

LEGO City is the setting for LEGO City Undercover, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins and the LEGO City Fun Pack DLC for LEGO Dimensions.

During LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, LEGO City is still under construction, and as a result many areas lack features or have different layouts than in LEGO City Undercover. One example of this is that the Train Stations are not yet operational during The Chase Begins and Helipads are used for fast travel instead.

There are also a number of districts which are not present in The Chase Begins. It is unclear if this is because they have yet to be built, or if they are merely not visited during the course of the game.

The Chase McCain Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions features a scaled-down LEGO City open world. Some locations are absent, placed in a different spot or redesigned.

Unlabeled map of LEGO City as it appears in LEGO City Undercover

LEGO City is largely inspired by Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. Several iconic U.S. landmarks are reproduced in the game, such as the Golden Gate Bridge (Auburn Bay Bridge), the Statue of Liberty, Alcatraz Island (Albatross Island), Times Square (Bright Lights Plaza), the Kennedy Space Center (Apollo Island) and its vehicle assembly building, Mount Cashmore, Lombard Street, the Unisphere, the Brooklyn Bridge (Heritage Bridge), or the Transamerica Pyramid. Many other buildings are inspired by real Lego City sets. To the northwest are the districts of Fort Meadows and Bluebell National Park, the part connected to the mainland. The other neighborhoods are located on the two main islands of LEGO City, connected to each other and to the mainland by bridges. The city has a subway system with 14 stations, allowing the player to move faster on the map.

The main island of LEGO City is located in the east, and is composed of many neighborhoods located on the seaside, the center of the island being very mountainous. However, it is possible to cross the island thanks to the ferry tunnel that passes under the mountains. There is the downtown area to the south, the airport to the north, a seaside resort (Paradise Sands) to the east, a Chinatown (Pagoda) to the west, and other residential and commercial areas.

To the west is the second large island of LEGO City, of which only the eastern part is inhabited. There are two large districts, Cherry Tree Hills, the main district of the city very much inspired by San Francisco, where the LEGO City Police Station is located, and Auburn, a large industrial-port area under reconstruction.

In the center of LEGO City, between the three parts of the city is Lady Liberty Island, a small tourist island with the Statue of Liberty in its center. To the south is Albatross Island, home to the Albatross Prison where dangerous criminals are locked up. To the east is Apollo Island, an island used as a launch pad.

Octan gas station sign

This sign indicates that we are one kilometer from the service station.

Topography[]

It's quite difficult to define the size of the city. Although the basic unit of measurement seems to be the millimeter, signs around town indicate distances in kilometers. This is the case, for example, of a sign indicating the Octan gas station in Auburn. However, the gas station seems to be located well under a kilometer from the sign, and therefore prevents a direct comparison.

Districts[]

In LEGO City Undercover, LEGO City is divided into twenty-two different districts :

LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins[]

In LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, seven districts are seen in LEGO City.
