"Looking for someone?"
―Rex Fury

Rex Fury is a criminal character who is the secondary antagonist in LEGO City Undercover and the main antagonist in LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins. In both games he serves as an antagonist to the main character, Chase McCain, who is trying to capture and imprison Fury.

In LEGO Dimensions, there is a boss fight with Rex in the LEGO City World. After unlocking all Chase McCain disguises, you can fight him in the LEGO City Museum.

Playable variants[]

LEGO City Undercover[]

Rex Fury (Robber)[]

This is the main version of Rex in the game, though his bare chest variant is the one that primarily appears in the story. It can be unlocked at the skydive of the last level, Special Assignment - Fly Me to the Moon and is worth a million Studs.

Rex Fury Bare Chest (Robber)[]

This Rex is scene in cutscenes. His token can be found in a structure to the right of the Bluebell Mine entrance in Bluebell National Park. You will need another variant of him to pull a strength handle to get inside the structure. This Rex also costs 1,000,000 studs.

Rex Fury (Astronaut)[]

Astronaut Rex appears in the final level of the game in cutscenes and as a boss fight twice, the first one with him riding his T-Rex Mech and the second one, the final boss, with Rex just as himself. He can be unlocked after conquering all districts and costs 1,000,000 studs.

LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins[]

Rex Fury[]

This is the only playable Rex variant in the game. He appears in cutscenes and is the final boss of the game. Rex can be unlocked by finding his token in Downtown. In the block on the northeast corner of Downtown, on the side of the southeast building are some climbing objects. Hop up on them to the ledge on the right, then go down it until there is a more open area with a bunch of other levels of surface. Go up on the right, then glide across to a higher platform by some more climbing objects. Climb up them, then chop open the door up there to find the character token. Rex costs 1,000,000 studs.

Notes[]

  • Rex Fury is the secondary antagonist of LEGO City Undercover, despite having been marketed as the main antagonist of the game.
  • Rex might have come from a rough family, given the fact he was a criminal since he was six years old.
  • His right eye does not work properly.
  • Even though Natalia Kowalski testified against him, he shows no signs of hatred towards her.
  • In The Chase Begins when Chief Gleeson was showing two pictures of him, he appears to be playing with a dog which indicates he must have a soft side for dogs.
  • It's still unknown why he sent his goons to Vinnie Pappalardo to 'deal with him', although it is assumed that he did it since Vinnie told Chase and Moe to steal things from Forrest Blackwell, his boss. But another possible reason for that is that he may have planned to get Vinnie to do things for him then turn on him, therefore not paying him for his troubles.
  • In The Chase Begins he claims to have had wonderful teachers, and seems to have medical knowledge.
  • For some reason, the Silver Statues that Chase can blow up with Dynamite in LEGO City Undercover have his likeness. In the remastered version of the game, Frank Honey claims they were placed by Rex himself.
  • He is very strong and cannot be punched, because he takes your hand and hits you back (mostly in the last level).

Quotes[]

  • "Turn that noise off!"
  • "Long time no see, McCain"
  • "Blackwell, you filthy worm!"
