Data Scan Upgrade - City Challenges is a Red Brick in LEGO City Undercover which upgrades the Data Scan function of the Communicator to allow it to show locations for Disguise Booths, Free Runs, Super Builds, Time Trials, and Train Stations.
Unlike most red bricks, once Data Scan Upgrades are purchased, they default to being enabled in the Extras menu.

This red brick can be found in Cherry Tree Hills on the second level of the outside of the LEGO City Police Station. The brick is in a locked cell. To reach it, switch to the Robber disguise and use the crowbar to open the door.
